I am a community-minded multimedia journalist who thrives to tell the personal side of the story.
As much as it’s hard to admit, mothers do know best. It was my mom’s idea for me to major in journalism. It only took me four years in community college taking random classes to realize she was right all along. After getting sick of bossy chefs yelling at me in culinary arts classes and falling asleep in sociology classes, I finally took my first journalism course in community college. I’ve been in love with the field ever since.
I recently graduated from San Francisco State University with a bachelor’s degree in journalism and a minor in Middle East and Islamic Studies. At SF State, I took the helm as online copy chief for the the Golden Gate Xpress and developed my love for multimedia storytelling.
